Dr. Lauren Barber
DVM
Dr. Lauren Barber grew up in Maryland and Ontario, Canada. She went to The University of Florida for her bachelor's in Animal Biology where she studied livestock and was a member of the UF Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Team. She then stayed on at UF for her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine making her a "Double Gator".
Dr. Barber then spent her internship after veterinary school at the San Diego Humane Society looking after every species: dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, rabbits, livestock, and even wildlife. Dr. Barber spent time after her internship working in the San Diego area at a Specialty Hospital practicing Emergency Medicine and working part-time as the primary veterinarian for a big cat sanctuary.
When not in the hospital, Dr. Barber spends her time with her 3 rescue dogs Dukkha, Lola, and Kira, hiking, camping, or traveling between State and National Parks.
