Dr. Debbie Van Pelt

Dr. Debbie Van Pelt is a veterinarian in Englewood. She completed a three-year residency training program in veterinary emergency and critical care at Colorado State University, and in 1991 became one of the first veterinarians to become board certified in veterinary emergency and critical care.

Dr. Debbie Van Pelt is a board-certified veterinary emergency and critical care specialist who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan. She came to Colorado for her internship in 1986, where she discovered both her love for the state and her passion for critical care, leading to a career that now spans more than 40 years.

Dr. Van Pelt’s interests include all aspects of critical care, with a special fondness for feline patients. Outside of work, she enjoys Pilates, quilting, hiking, running, and spending time with friends and family. She is the proud parent of two adult children and loves any opportunity to spend time together or go on adventures.
