General Information

As an extended service to clients and their animal friends, a veterinarian may see the need to refer a patient to a specialist. In general, the animals primary veterinarian will narrow down the source of the animals ailment. The practitioner is then able to decide which specialist the patient should be referred to for extended care. In some situations this may not be clear, or the animal may have multiple problems. If this is the case, the VRCC is the right place because we have multiple specialists all housed in one facility. Please follow the links to the left for more information.

A visit to this portion of our site indicates that you have a concern for your pet's health and that you want to be prepared in case of an emergency or that you are a practicing veterinarian who has a referral for us. If you are not a veterinarian it is very important to us that you keep your family veterinarian informed of your pet's medical treatment. At VRCC we strive to be an extension of your family veterinarian and are here to assist him or her in providing optimal and compassionate medicine to your most precious family friend. VRCC is committed to consistent and complete communication with your veterinarian. Downloading these forms and filling them out correctly will facilitate more timely treatment of your pet. You also have the option of filling out the form online and sending it to the appropriate clinician. Should you choose this alternative we encourage you to bring a printed copy of your referral form on the day of your visit. Thank you for visiting The Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado.
