It is important to our staff that all pet owners have ample opportunity to visit with their pets during the pet's hospital stay. However, it is not always in the best interest of the patient to have prolonged visits with their owners during the time they are in the hospital recuperating from an illness or surgery. Many pets become anxious and agitated after their families leave, particularly if the visit exceeds more than 15 minutes.

When pet owners do come to visit their pets in the hospital, we encourage the visit to take place during regular working hours 8:00am to 5:00pm so that the oncology staff is available to answer questions.
