VRCC Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital is excited to announce the 2nd annual “Battle of the Vet Hospital Stars” on September 8th, 2013 to help raise funds for PetAid Colorado. $9,600 has been raised through entry fees alone, but with your help, we could reach our goal of $12,000!

What is Battle?  48 veterinary hospitals in the Denver area will compete in this fundraising event. Battle is full of crazy costumes, field day games, and team work among vet techs, doctors, and hospital staff. It’s a day of camaraderie, relationship building, and community involvement like you’ve never seen before, all to support a great cause!  This year, Battle is taking place at Clement Park in Littleton, CO from 1pm-6pm.

Why did VRCC create the Battle event?  September is National Disaster Preparedness month, and PetAid Colorado plays a key role in animal evacuation and pet care needs during natural disasters as well as education is disaster preparedness for Coloradans and their
pets.  So, we at VRCC decided it would be a great way to network with other veterinary hospitals, engage in team building activities, all while helping give back to PetAid Colorado.

Here is a bit about PetAid: PetAid Colorado was created as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization in 2002 to support education, scholarship, and service programs that improve animal health and welfare in Colorado. The involvement of veterinarians makes PetAid Colorado unique, allowing it to make the broadest impact on animal health and to offer services and insights that no other group can. In short, PetAid Colorado exists to make Colorado a better place for animals and people. You can read more about their mission here: www.petaidcolorado.com.
