   Emergency Care

Central Veterinary Emergency Services (CVES) has provided compassionate emergency and critical care since 1972. Our highly trained, dedicated staff of doctors, technicians, and assistants provides unsurpassed emergency care. CVES is available to assist you when you need it most: during an emergency when your family veterinarian is unavailable.

Veterinarian Expertise
In an emergency you want to know that the doctor caring for your pet is qualified in emergency and critical care. At CVES we are proud to assure the quality of your pet’s care by only hiring experienced emergency veterinarians, not interns or residents.

Technician Excellence
CVES technicians are some of the best in Colorado. They are highly trained in emergency care. CVES technicians perform essential functions in the care of your pet: setting up fluids, taking radiographs, blood work, and completing prescribed treatments. Our technicians truly care for your pet and it shows as they watch your pet closely and work in conjunction with the doctors to keep your pet as safe, happy, and comfortable as possible during his/her stay in our hospital.

Emergency Vet CareHistory of Caring
Central Veterinary Emergency Services (CVES) has provided compassionate emergency and critical care since 1972. Our highly trained, dedicated staff of doctors, technicians and assistants work hard to provide unsurpassed emergency care. CVES staff is available to assist you when you need it most, during an unpredicted emergency when your family doctor is unavailable.

Your Veterinary Team
CVES doctors work closely with your family Veterinarian to provide a continuum of care. Your Veterinarian can transfer a sick pet to us for overnight continuous care, such as fluid therapy, to allow for a faster return to health, and assurance for you that your pet is never hospitalized without doctor supervision. When an emergency hits in the middle of the night or on a holiday CVES provides the compassionate care your pet needs. CVES doctors work closely with other Veterinary Referral Center specialties such as Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Neurology and Dermatology so they can help direct you to a specialist as needed.

Emergency Veterinarian CareCompassion and Caring
After your visit to CVES your doctor will call you to ensure that your pet responded to treatment as anticipated. We can all learn from each patient’s individual response to treatment and want to be available for any further concerns. A typed copy of your pet’s record including diagnosis, lab results and care recommendations is faxed to your regular veterinarian after your pet’s visit. A follow-up phone call is made to your veterinary hospital to ensure that they have all the pertinent information to continue caring for your pet.

We encourage you to learn more about CVES by exploring our web site, calling or visiting. We're grateful to the community for your ongoing support!
