Charles has been a Certified Veterinary Technician for many years, graduating from Bel Rea in 1999. After pursuing an education in art history, he decided to take an alternate route working with animals, After working in general practice, Charles began to appreciate work involving emergency medicine and joined VRCC Emergency in 2006. In his free time, Charles enjoys spending time with his cat “Puss”, studying French, and traveling the globe.
Amanda moved to Colorado from Alaska to attend the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. She graduated from Bel-Rea in June of 2000 with an Associate Degree in Animal Science. Amanda joined VRCC in 2000 with the Internal Medicine department and joined the Ophthalmology team in March 2002. Amanda has special interests in holistic medicine and veterinary nutrition.
Amanda has 4 dogs (Shiba Inu and Wire-haired Vizsla (3)) and enjoys training and showing them. She is also the proud guardian of two cats.
Mistie began working in the veterinary field at age 18. She spent 10 years learning tech skills on the job in Alabama, before moving to Colorado to attend Bel-Rea Institute for Veterinary Technician Training. Mistie worked as a groomer while in school, and graduated from Bel-Rea in 2010. She worked at several practices for the next couple of years before finally settling down at a mixed animal practice (dogs, cats, pocket pets, birds, reptiles, pigs, and goats) in 2012. In August of 2014, Mistie welcomed a baby girl into her life. Wanting to be able to spend more time with her daughter, Mistie started doing veterinary technician relief work in early 2016. She decided to take a permanent swing/overnight position in Patient Care at VRCC at the beginning of 2017.
